Road Trip

On July 4th I went to Palm Springs for a dance competition.

We rented a house there, with a pool to stay cool. I took a 7 hour road trip to get there. I saw 26 tomato trucks on the way.

When we got there, we looked around. My room had a T.V! We were going to stay there for a week. On the first day I had a dance rehearsal. On the second day, we swam in our pool. The next day we went to the competition and awards. I think I did good. ☺ We also went out to dinner.

On the fourth day we went on the tram. The tram is like a skyline. We went in between the mountains! On the next day we went to see Despicable Me in theaters, then went to our company party.

On the sixth day we invited some of my friends to my pool-party. On the next day we swam and had fun. That day was the last day. Then we were leaving. I had so much fun! I was sad to go, but I was happy to go home.

The Turkeys

In my backyard and sometimes my front yard, wild turkeys come around. We put out nuts and seeds for them, [The turkeys, the squirrels, and birds.]

We have 3 turkeys in our yard. One is named Caicos, the other is Turk, and the big daddy is named Larry. One day I saw another family of turkeys witch consisted in 3 baby turkeys, about the size of a duck. 1 teenage turkey, and a mom and a dad.

Soon after my cousin flew away, the turkeys disappeared! After a week the turkeys came back, but there was another turkey with them! They must have had a friend come along!

On the same day we heard a pecking sound. It was the turkeys! They were pecking at our door! They were letting us know that they were there. After a couple minuets, I looked out the window and saw the birdbath had fallen over! It must had been the turkeys!

P.S. Those turkeys are loud!

The Giants Game

On Wednesday the 19 my mom, dad and I went to a Giants game. We got there by Bart. When we got off, we got our tickets for the Muni. (A Muni is a bus that runs on tracks and hooks onto a big, long wire that stretches to the destination it is going to.)

So we took the Muni to AT&T Park. Inside, we bought a hotdog, a soft pretzel, and lemonade. Yum! After the 4th inning, my mom went out to get herself some lunch, and surprise! My mom got me a triple scoop ice cream cone with fudge at the bottom! To share ☹.

It was the 5th inning and we were losing 1 to 2. Then in the 7th inning we got a run and it was tied! We were going into the 8th when a pop fly popped up into the air. It looked like it was headed right for us! But it flew into the seats before us.

It was the 8th and we were hitting hit after hit. At the end of the game we won 2 to 4! We pilled out of our seats, and rode the Muni back to the Bart station and rode the Bart back to our car. I loved watching the Giants game!

P.S. I didn’t hold onto the Bart so I felt like I was surfing!

My Cousin

On Wednesday June 12 my cousin and auntie came to visit from Austin Texas. On the first day they picked me up from my last day of school, and ate lunch out. (Got out early) Then we went to the park, and then went to my dance class.

The next day we went to the Jelly Belly factory. I tried pencil shavings and chocolate pudding, yum! We went on a tour where we saw The Statue of Liberty made out of Jelly Belly’s!

The next day we went to a court to play tennis on. After we’d played tennis we went home and ate pizza and watched a movie.

The next day we went to San Francisco. First we walked on the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we went to get cupcakes, then we rode on a cable car. Next we drove down the curviest road ever. (Lombard Street.) Then we ate lunch, and took a cab over to The Exploratorium.

The next day we went to a town called Walnut Creek. I think that they liked it here.

P.S. Pencil shavings was very, very good.
